Yes, I still have a few Christmas Tree trunk bits left over after making the wreath and candle-holders over the weekend. The minions have been harassing me about how many I have left, but the hubster and I cut down 14 live trees over the years. That's a lot of trunks. I've decided to make some ornaments or gift tags or coasters or ... well ... you get the idea.
The girl minion felt the candle-holders weren't festive enough and suggested glitter. Apparently, nothing says festive like glitter (when you're a 10yo girlie-girl)! I decorated the wood base for them to sit on. Poinsettias scream festive to the 43yo set ... at least this one.
Hmmm ... that's giving me ideas for those leftover trunk bits.
In other news, I spied something I had a hand in designing at the local craft store. It's always such a thrill to see things I've worked on being purchased by people I don't know! These are elements of a Kitchen Recipe Stationary program that also includes recipe boxes and binders that match. Pretty darn spiffy, if I do say so myself.
And festive!
