Crises Averted.

Crisis Number 1:
The next three days are the Book Fair at school. This much I know – one Punk's class goes today and one Punk's class goes on Wednesday. What I don't know is which Punk is which. Got that? Yeah, I was confused, but luckily I get a weekly email from the PTA that told me which class goes when – Boy Punk today, Girl Punk on Wednesday.

Crisis Number 2:
It's not fair (insert whine) that the Boy Punk gets to go today and the Girl Punk has to wait! Crying, stomping and body hurling (I think this should be an Olympic Sport and yes, my two would win Gold every stinkin' time!) commenced. I fixed that by announcing that I would be willing to paint fingernails after school today if the crying, stomping and body hurling ceased.

Crisis Number 3:
The Girl Punk must have a green snack on Wednesday (thanks for remembering today instead of 8 p.m. on Tuesday) to celebrate St. Patrick's Day and a green shirt. Yeah, like she has anything green in her closet. Luckily (get it?) Walmart had St. P's Day shirts on sale and I have green sprinkles to put on sugar cookies.

Crisis Number 4:
That would have been not having a shirt for the Boy Punk, but I'm not that dumb.

Crisis Number 5:
Hasn't happened yet, but it will when the Boy Punk wants to read his new book from the Book Fair. Can I have my break scheduled for then?

  1. Karen,

This is hilarious and I can so relate to what you are saying. I have seen it first hand at the book fair. Our school is having book fair this week too..lol. Smart lady to buy two shirts! Does punk 2 like scholastic hardback biographies? I can send her one if she likes!
