Slowly, But Surely.

It's slow going, but I'm still working on the leaf drawing ... or is it a painting? I'm never sure with colored pencil.

Regardless, I'm happy with how it's progressing. I like using the ink as an underpainting with colored pencil. I don't need to add dark colors to achieve the shadows, so they stay crisp and colorful.

    I'm the same as you....I'm confused as to what to call a piece of art done with coloured pencils as, technically, it's not a painting because paints aren't involved. Pencils equate with drawing, however, a lot of coloured pencil artists do classify their art as paintings so I think 'painting' is indeed the right terminology to use.
