Have You Voted Yet Today?

I just got back from voting. Now that the punks are older, I don't mind taking them with me. They talk about the election in school and ask questions.

I don't tell them who I vote for, but we discuss how I come to my decisions – research, research and more research. I want them to understand how lucky we are to have the privilege of voting for our leaders and how important I think it is to make informed choices.

Maybe that will come, but for right now they just think feeding the ballot in is cool.
