Yep, The Color Fairy Is Still Here.

I forgot how much fun slapping color all over a page could be. Certainly takes the intimidation factor of a blank page away. Not to mention that with a background that wild, who cares if the drawing is exactly perfect.

Now if the Color Fairy would only introduce me to the Laundry Fairy.

  1. I've been enjoying all the wonderful color from your color fairy muse--I'll definitely have to invite the color fairy over into my sketchbook!

    1. Hi Mary!
I've been following a tutorial I found on Lori's website at Elvie Studio (http://elviestudio.blogspot.com/2012/01/inspiration-monday.html). She used Tombow markers (Marvy work, too) to load color onto an acrylic block used for stamping. Spritz with a little water and smear it around.

I used to use pre-inked stamp pads to get a similar effect, but the ink never seemed to last long, the pads would pull away from the case and the darn things are expensive. This is working just as well.

      Try it!
