Still Playing Catch-Up.

I wasn't going to take my sketchbook on vacation — shocking, I know — because I couldn't figure out when I'd have time to draw. I was pretty sure Disney World with two Punks was not going to be the quiet, relaxing kind of vacation. The hubster reminded me of all the lines we'd be standing in and I tossed it in my bag.

He was right and I got a few nice spreads. I want to add photographs and maybe some more drawings, so as I get pages done I'll share them. In the meantime, I'll start posting my daily pages again. For those of you who are interested, New Smyrna Beach is very clean and beautiful, but it doesn't have shells like this one. I bought it in a tourist shop in town.

  1. Oooo! I want to walk barefoot on that beach! Beautiful!

Really pretty shell. I imagine anything not tied down has been picked off the populated beaches years ago.

I'm glad you brought your sketchbook with you and will be looking forward to the spreads. :)

  3. Really beautiful shell, Karen. I love how the splotch of blue reminds you of the ocean and sky, and your lettering is wonderful.

  4. I love the colours of your shell. Beautiful. I also really like that "catching up" includes finishing your drawings. Glad you were able to squeeze in some drawing time while in Florida.
