We're Ready ... Almost.

The stockings are hung on the bookcase with care,

Santa statues are placed around here and there.

The nutcracker army at attention by the door, 

Tinsel is all over the tree, chairs and floor.

Nine days and counting 'til the Big Guy arrives,

The kids so excited they probably have hives.

A few things are left to check off the list,

presents, cookies and naughtiness to resist.

No need to remind the kids that it's near,

before they know it Christmas will be here.
