Practicing And Pondering.

I've been doing Zoomer studies and searching the internet for nature cake ideas. Cute nature cake ideas, because we wouldn't want to edge over into slightly scary or gross. I guess I should be happy she picked the ladybug to feature prominently on her cake and not the rainbow owl or pink camouflage monkey.

I don't get the whole doll fascination that my girl has. She has a gazillion stuffed creatures, each and every one has a name and she KNOWS each and every name. She even remembers when she got them and who gave them to her – Uncle Chuck gave her Zoomer.

And she always has room to add more creatures to her collection – at least in her affections, if not in her actual room. She rotates her favorites and somehow manages to play with them all regularly. The idea of culling the herd, so to speak, sends her into hysterics.

I just realized she collects stuffed animals like the boy collects Hot Wheels.

Well, I'll say this – her collection is easier on my feet.

  1. Speaking of collections, might I mention frogs?

    1. I'm thinking more along the lines of voluntary collections.

My almost 8 year old son is the same. His "cuddlies" all have names and he is their Daddy. We had a very serious discussion about how his sister couldn't be Mummy but is their Aunty. The tears if one is missing......
