Now What?

I finished treatment for my cancer yesterday. I thought I would wake up today relieved and raring to go, but instead I'm still feeling anxious. I'm figuring out that being done with treatments doesn't mean you are done with cancer.

  2. Not being in treatment is a cause for celebration! You can get back to your own schedule (and by your own, I mean your kids' since you are a mom) and have more control over your life. Again, I can't speak to what you are going through as I have not been there, but what helped me when my sister came out of treatment was to compartmentalize my worry. I chose to save all my worrying for the night before her check ups. If it popped up sooner, I'd look at the calendar and think "Nope, can't worry until the 13th". For me, this really helped!

P.S. I like the colorful splatters on your green pepper yesterday.

  3. Hey Karen, this is my first visit to your blog; thank you for pinning some of my work! I cannot know what you're going trhough (and have been through), but I really hope you will feel better and be able to celebrate life, and be in charge of it again soon.
I love your work here, beautiful sketchbook pages! Will start following your blog!
