I don't like the way the Pitt Artist pens work on top of the acrylics. It dries with a scratchy texture, which makes the pens skip a bit. I might try lightly sanding the page and see if that softens the texture without taking all the paint off.
The watercolor, on the other hand, went down surprisingly well. I didn't do a lot of blending, but with all that color in the background I could afford to keep the subject a little on the simple side.
I'm in a shoe drawing mood, so I think I'll go steal one or two of the punks' to draw today.

ReplyDeleteWe're glad you're to the rad stage. The six weeks does seem to go by quickly but takes forever, whatever that means. Life is strange nowadays.
Our radiation center gave her a parking lot receipt, as thick as a card, everytime she entered the facility. My wife has that stack of 30 cards (6 weeks x 5 days) in her car to this day, even though her last treatment was a month ago today. Every time she gets in the car, she takes the stack out of the center console and strums her finger over them like a deck of cards.
I'm not sure what that means. I'm not sure she knows what that means. But it appears to be theraputic right about now.
