I haven't done a lot of graphic design work since all the cancer crap started, so this was actually a nice break. I think it turned out pretty cool. I'm not much for pink ribbons or the word survivor - this is more my style.
I think having the right attitude is just as important as finding the right doctor and treatment plan. I find the old "fake it 'til you make it" adage really can work - most of the time. This might be a nice reminder for the days where I need a little bit more help.
A Warrior Heart is courageous, gutsy, determined, engaged, dauntless, focused, spirited, strong, resilient, daring, powerful, confident, mighty, energized, tough and tenacious.
Works for me.
I like warrior better than survivor also, it sounds like you are in control of how you deal with it, not letting it happen to you.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see how creative you are being with your art through all of this. That must be helping in some way - the act of creating.
My sister was always gracious through her treatments. This meant that she accepted help without being a victim or pitiful about it, but in a way that that was a gift to the person helping her. I hope that made sense! I see tha t as a strong trait as well.
So hurray for 3/4 done!

Hi Karen...I found you at Lee's blog(Defining Me). She has put up a link to your blog. I have been looking at your sketches...I admire anyone who takes the time to sketch. I'm not sure what you facing health wise but you are correct...the right attitude is important. Do notlet negative crap take over your mind...
