Playing Catch-Up.

I've skipped a couple of the Life Book 2013 exercises because I didn't have the materials and another couple because the "touchy-feely" part of the program just didn't appeal to me. Now I've caught up with the rest of the exercises, so I decided to tackle the ones I passed over and just ignore the touchy-feely parts.

This one was all about collage and layers and making a mess. A lot of these techniques are fun, but I can't see myself using them everyday in my sketchbook. Honestly, it just takes too much time, but it might be nice to build up a series of pages ahead of time to work in.
This exercise was about layering in the background again, but then we learned a technique for creating dimensional flowers. Believe it or not, those blossoms are made with coffee filters, aluminum foil and hot glue! I bet Punkette would enjoy this project.

  1. Wow...those flowers are gorgeous! Sounds like an interesting project and a nice way to stretch.
