One Last Comparison.

Let me preface this by saying I take better shots of things that aren't moving. Usually. Most of the good action shots I've gotten of the punks have been due more to the quantity of pictures I take rather than the quality.

That being said, I think you can still see a difference, especially with the images I got at Punkette's ice skating lessons. The top shot is my from my Panasonic Lumix DMC-F20 and the second is with the new Nikon Coolpix P510. I'm comparing photos where Punkette was in about the same place, although I think she was closer to me in the top shot. Also, I'm shooting through the glass in the bottom shot.
Then there's these I took at Punk's basketball games. He's in almost exactly the same spot, doing almost exactly the same thing.

I usually have a tough time at his games – basketball moves so fast and I'm lucky if I get him in focus. In fact, I think his shoes are what's in focus most. Sigh. Still, I think the color is more accurate to real life and there's less noise.

I'm still pretty stinking happy.
