I don't know which scares me more – the fact that school shootings happen or that my
7- and 9-year-old punks aren't particularly phased when one occurs 50 miles away.
I stopped listening to the radio as much once I had children for the same reason. I wanted to shelter them from so much of what actually happens "out there." I guess there comes a time when we have to stop sheltering, especially when "out there" isn't so far away. On a happier note, I love your mug and tea drawing.
