I think I've figured out part of the reason why I haven't been motivated to draw lately. A big part of my inspiration has always been the Punks and they're in school now.
Judging by their teachers' comments, they're both still pretty entertaining, but I don't get to see the show. Darn it.
They don't even leave enough toys out for me to trip over anymore. Not that I'm complaining. If I find myself suffering from serious toy withdrawal, I can just go into their rooms — plenty of stuff to trip over in there.
As for the back to basics, I ran out of inked spreads in my sketchbook and was waiting to draw until I had time to ink a few more. Finally decided that the white page works just as well, better even if I actually end up drawing on them.
I wonder if I'll be whining about all the time I have on my hands when the freelance gig is done?
Love both these sketches. Sarah did a great job making them. Sounds like they are both doing well in school and mom and dad are proud. ;)
