First Skinned Knee Of 2010.

Well, we knew it would happen eventually. March 12 seems a little early to me, but Sarah just earned the first skinned knee for this year. She did a great job, too — it's a two-big-bandaid skinned knee!

And for those of you out there who think I'm a camera-crazy, mean mom, I'll have you know I didn't rush to record the event. After all, the camera was in the house, she was at the end of the driveway screaming and there was another mom coming up the sidewalk with a toddler (who was nice enough to grab the bike and put it in our yard, thank you so much). Not that the fact there would have been witnesses to my camera run had any effect on my decision.

As for the mean part, I gave her a popsicle while I cleaned the dirt and pebbles out of the boo-boo (the better to keep you quiet, my dear) and promised we'd drive to pick-up her older brother (because I'm tired from all this outdoor play anyway) from school. See how nice I am? Someone should nominate me for something.
